Our designs are influenced by Spanish craftsmanship and the stories a grandmother shared with her grandchild, focusing on beauty, longevity, and meaning. The founder’s grandmother passed down ancestral techniques, honouring a tradition of female artisanship rooted in farming. Acien blends this heritage with innovation, using high-quality, chemical-free materials that are fully biodegradable and also nurture the skin. These materials are breathable, hypoallergenic, and gentle, providing soothing, anti-inflammatory properties that make each piece feel comforting and nurturing when worn.

  • Primary Fibres: Certified organic, plant-based yarns (e.g., Himalayan nettle from Nepalese social enterprises, regenerative French merino, organic hemp, lotus flower, and pineapple fibre)

  • Source: Italy, France, Spain, Nepal

  • Properties: Biodegradable, water-efficient, dyed naturally with plants or with GOTS-certified dyes for accessories
